Oral yeast infection is also commonly known as Thrush and infects the mucous membranes of the throat and mouth. Candida Albicans is the yeast that causes it and this micro organism lives on many of us without doing harm and kept under control by good bacteria in our bodies. If the infection is not cleared up using these methods or the infection is spreading there are other treatments your doctor may decide upon and other anti-fungal drugs including injections. It is important to know that Candida can learn to resist treatments if the same one is constantly used ineffectively over time. Also each time the infection recurss it canbecome stronger and more difficult to effectively treat.
