The most common symptom men suffer from when they have a yeast infection is problems with digestion. Most of the other symptoms are linked to digestive problems; bad breath, bloating, constipation, gas, diarrhea, indigestion. Other symptoms include inability to perform sexually, irritability, tiredness, mood swings, poor memory, dry itchy flaky skin, athlete feet, jock itch and prostate problems.

Most people’s diets include a lot of pasta, chips, sweet foods, beer – all of which are helping the yeast grow and are in fact part of the reason why men are getting yeast infections. In order to find out whether you have a yeast infection there is an easy test you can do at home. When you wake up in the early morning spit twice into a glass of water (have it next to your bed so you can do it straight away). After fifteen minutes look at the glass and see whether the spit has dissolved and disappeared. If it is gone you do not have a yeast infection.

If however, the spit has gotten cloudy, it is at the bottom of the glass and there are strings coming out of it almost weblike, this means you are likely infected with a yeast infection. If there is a residue in the bottom of the glass after thirty minutes this may mean you have parasites and therefore quick treatment is important.

To cure yourself of a yeast infection you need to do several things. Really control how much sugar is in your diet as sugar is a food for the yeast therefore helping it grow. Also try to avoid yeast foods, soy, tuna, shellfish, dairy, aspartane, swordfish, fructose, splenda and trans-fats. Eat more white meat like chicken and lots of vegetables. Cut down on red meats like beef.
Drink lots of water every day preferably chlorine and flouride free. For a direct treatment look to drinking vinegar solutions as vinegar is a very effective natural cure for fungal and yeast infections.
