Having a Yeast Infection and Rhino-Sinusitis

Rhino-sinusitis is also called a sinus infection or just sinusitis. It refers to when the nasal passages of the nose and the sinuses become swollen or inflamed. When talking about a yeast infection and rhino-sinusitis we are referring to chronic sinusitis rather than acute sinusitis, as the acute condition is caused by bacteria not fungi. The differences between the two apart from the causing micro-organism are that acute happens only up to three times a year and obviously can be treated with antibiotics. When an acute infection occurs it will last for one to two weeks. A chronic infection however is for or more times in a year as it is a recurring problem and symptoms unfortunately last a lot longer, 3 weeks or more even. Because it is a yeast infection and rhino-sinusitis antibiotics do not work as a treatment.
